For the Crust:


2 cans (8 oz each) of crescent roll dough

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cheesecake Filling:


16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg (optional, for a denser filling)

For the Topping:


½ cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:


Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the Crust:

Roll out one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Pinch the seams together to seal the dough into a uniform layer.

Make the Filling:

In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract (and egg, if using) until smooth and creamy.

Spread the filling evenly over the crescent dough layer in the dish.

Add the Top Layer:

Roll out the second can of crescent roll dough and gently lay it over the cream cheese mixture. Pinch the seams together, covering the filling.

In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon.

Brush the top layer of dough with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the top.

Bake:

Cool and Slice:

Allow the cheesecake bars to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. This helps them firm up for easy slicing.
