Classic Peanut Butter Fudge

Ingredients:


2 cups (400g) granulated sugar

1/2 cup (120ml) milk

1/2 cup (120g) unsalted butter

3/4 cup (190g) peanut butter (smooth or chunky)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups (240g) powdered sugar, sifted

Instructions:


Prepare the Dish:

Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Set aside.

Make the Base:

In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.

Boil the Mixture:

Once boiling, stop stirring and let it boil for 2 minutes. Be careful not to overcook.

Add Peanut Butter and Vanilla:

Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth and fully combined.

Incorporate Powdered Sugar:

Gradually add the powdered sugar to the mixture, stirring until smooth and thick.

Set the Fudge:

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Let it cool at room temperature for about 1–2 hours or until set.

Cut and Serve:

Once firm, cut the fudge into squares and enjoy!
