1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese until well combined. If desired, stir in shredded cheddar cheese for extra flavor.
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Assemble the Crescents: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place about 1 tablespoon of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the dough from the wide end to the point, enclosing the filling.
Bake: Arrange the crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
