Homemade vanilla and strawberry ice cream


 Ingredients:

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract (for vanilla flavor)

1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed (for strawberry flavor)

A few drops of red food coloring (optional, for strawberry color)

Instructions:

Base Mixture:

In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Vanilla Ice Cream:

Divide the mixture in half.

In one half, mix in the vanilla extract.

Pour into a container and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or churn in an ice cream maker if you have one.

Strawberry Ice Cream:

In the other half of the base mixture, stir in the pureed strawberries. Add red food coloring if a stronger pink color is desired.

Pour into a separate container and freeze for 4-6 hours or churn.

Serving:

Scoop both vanilla and strawberry ice cream into a bowl for a colorful and delicious combination.
