Ingredients:
For the Lobster Tail:
2 lobster tails
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
For the Seared Scallops:
8 large sea scallops, patted dry
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Lobster Tails:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Using kitchen shears, carefully cut the top shell of the lobster tail down to the tail, exposing the meat. Gently pull the meat over the shell.
In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Brush the mixture generously over the lobster meat.
Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
2. Sear the Scallops:
Season scallops with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic to the pan. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the scallops for extra flavor.
3. Assemble and Serve:
Plate the baked lobster tail alongside the seared scallops.
Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the seafood and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of freshness.
Enjoy this decadent dish with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a crisp salad for a complete gourmet meal! Would you like pairing suggestions or dessert ideas to complement this meal?
